The Wall started in December 2016 under the name Trump’s Wall. What began as a server shared with friends grew into a wider community, with more players finding a place to call home.
From Trump’s Wall to The Wall
The original name was a meme, not a political endorsement or affiliation. It’s part of our history, and The Wall grew out of that original name.
Coming up on ten years
In May 2018, our owner looked back on that December 2016 start. A January 2024 announcement marked just over seven years of the community. Those posts give us the month and year, though not an exact founding day.
A lot has changed since then. Our current DayZ lineup spans Chernarus, Deer Isle, Alteria and Nasdara, while the original Trump’s Wall name lives on with its separate vanilla servers.
